Ten Of My Favourite 2015 Book Covers

20 January 2015

WHAT IS TOP TEN TUESDAY? (CLICK HERE)

This week's topic is a freebie, so I chose my favourite 2015 book covers. Trawling through the 2015 YA Listopia categories on Goodreads, trying to find some new releases to add to my wishlist, I started noticing all of the beautiful covers. Even if books don't particularly appeal to me, I can always appreciate a good cover, so here are a few of my favourites.

1. DUPLICITY BY N.K. TRAVER

The shattered effect really ties in with the premise of this book, and I adore the mix of colour and greyscale. It's not very often that a book featuring a male protaganist actually has a dude on the cover, but those that do are generally quite good. This is just fitting nicely in with that trend.

2. MY HEART & OTHER BLACK HOLES BY JASMINE WARGA

Though the cover of this novel doesn't really tell you anything about the book, I absolutely adore the design. The haphazard scribbles make a really nice background, and the font is super cute. Definitely one of the nicest designs I've seen in a long time.

3. KISSING IN AMERICA BY MARGO RABB

I'm not sure why I like this cover so much, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that it's quite loud. Just looking at it makes you feel like the book is going to be a pretty fun read.

4. PAPERWEIGHT BY MEG HASTON

I absolutely love the simplicity of this cover. The almost childlike appearance of this novel seriously contrasts with what I can only imagine will be a deeply emotional read. Sometimes simplistic covers are the loveliest ones.

5. THINGS WE KNOW BY HEART BY JESSI KIRBY

Another gorgous simplistic cover, this one is just too cute. I love the basic font coupled with the doodled heart, and the textured background really gives it a nice look.

6. ENSNARED BY A.G. HOWARD

I love absolutely every cover in this series, but this one is by far my favourite. I absolutely love the colours, and the font is beautiful as ever.

7. THE START OF ME & YOU BY EMERY LORD

I can safely say that this cover is my favourite on this entire list. The mix of colours is absolutely gorgeous, and the mismatched fonts set the whole thing off nicely. I also like covers that showcase people from a distance, so this one is right up my alley.

8. UNSPEAKABLE BY ABBIE RUSHTON

Once again, it's the colours of this cover that really captured my attention. Though they're not exactly contrasting, the blend is perfect. I also really enjoy how the cover looks reversed - the trees are inside the silhouettes, instead of being in the background. It's a really nice touch.

9. ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES BY JENNIFER NIVEN

I think the only reason I love this cover as much as I do is because I love post-it-notes. I'm not really sure why, but I've always loved making pictures out of them, so this cover really appeals to me.

10. THE ART OF BEING NORMAL BY LISA WILLIAMSON

Simplicity at its finest, once again. As you can probably guess, this novel is about a guy who wants to be a girl. The fact that this cover incorporates that makes me smile.

So there you have my top ten favourite 2015 book covers! What topic did you choose? Leave me the link to your post/video and I'll be sure to check it out. For now, happy reading!

  1. Ooh my fave from your list is The Art of Being Normal! I haven't even looked at covers from 2015 yet - or even the books out - so this is a nice introduction. Thanks!

  2. Right? It's so cute! I only recently started looking for books released this year, and some of them really do sound spectacular. I think it's going to be a good bookish year (:

  3. Oh great list! I'm a sucker for a good cover and one of the few things I dislike about my Kindle is I don't see covers as much. I think Paperweight is my favorite on your list. The simplicity and the colors are just so pretty!

  4. That's one of the reasons why I don't use my Kindle as much as I should. I'm thinking about getting a Kindle Fire so the covers are in colour (just one reason among many), so even though I still won't see the cover as much, it'll still be dead pretty :3 Paperweight definitely has a gorgeous cover, and the story sounds great which is a bonus.
